Strengthening the rule of law and overcoming the legacy issues are at the very top of prerequisites that the Western Balkan countries have to fulfil in order to enhance their chances of becoming European Union member states, improve regional cooperation and preserve regional stability. However, the WB6 are only partially successful in these efforts.
